greene countyAnyone interested in running for an available Greene County elected office can start filing their nomination papers on Monday, March 5th.

In the November general election, Greene County offices that are available include: Supervisor Districts 2 and 3, Treasurer, Attorney and Recorder. All but one incumbent has previously indicated that they are seeking re-election. Those individuals include: Dawn Rudolph and Tom Contner for Supervisor Districts 2 and 3 respectively, Donna Lawson for Treasurer, and Marcia Tasler for Recorder. County Attorney Nic Martino is retiring at the end of the year and Assistant County Attorney Thomas Laehn is running for the office.

Interested candidates must obtain nomination papers for the available office and get at least 57 signatures if you are a Republican candidate, 34 signatures for a Democratic candidate and four signatures for a Libertarian candidate.

The filing period is from March 5th through March 28th at 5pm. Anyone with questions may contact the Greene County Auditor’s office at 386-5680.
