A senior at Dallas Center-Grimes High School has been named to the exclusive list of 2018 Coca-Cola Scholarship award winners.

Adam Koch was announced recently as one of 150 students from around the country to receive a $20,000 scholarship from Coca-Cola. The process started with over 90,000 applicants. In November, that list was whittled down to nearly 2,000 students, and then 252 were announced as regional finalists in January. Last week, the 150 scholarship winners were announced, and Koch found his name listed among the group. He and the other recipients will take part in the 2018 Scholars Weekend from April 19-22. During the weekend, they will participate in the Leadership Development Institute, and be honored at the annual banquet.

This is the 30th year of the Coca-Cola Scholarships, which is one of the more competitive scholarship programs in the country.
