The West Central Valley School District conducted the first of two buddy bench installation ceremonies yesterday morning in Stuart. Former Stuart Elementary Principal Sharon Sloss was honored for her years of service. Sloss received recognition for her dedication to the district and the bench bearing her name will be placed on the playground.

The installation ceremony for Dr. David Arnold’s bench at Dexter Elementary was originally scheduled for yesterday, however that event has been postponed to Monday, March 19 at 2:30pm. A buddy bench is a secure place where students can sit if they would like some company during recess.
