It’s the final call for applications for this year’s Ring Out for Art contest.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street’s Tower View Team is once again hosting the competition. Interested artists can submit a drawing or small-scale replica of a sculpture. A committee will then select the top six sculptures to be on display at the Bell Tower Festival. The public will then vote during the festival for the top three sculptures to remain on the Greene County Courthouse grounds until October. JMMS Program Director Peg Raney is excited to see the entries.
“So we’re looking forward to getting lots of really creative sculptures here. We’ve taken out the requirement of a bell. So it can be any sculpture that they would like to present to us to create.”

Home State Bank is once again sponsoring the prize money to the top three individuals. First place will receive $2,000, second place will get $1,000 and third place is $500. The deadline to submit an application is Monday, March 12th. For a copy of the application, click the link below.
