IHSSA LogoToday is the Iowa High School Speech Association State Individual Events Contest.

Greene County High School had eight students qualify 11 events at the district competition last month. Jordan Davis, Arthur Bardole and Natalie Payan each qualified two events. Paton-Churdan High School had two students qualify three events. The participants are: Megan Carey for prose and musical theatre, and Madi Minnehan with her musical theatre piece.

Students can qualify for the all-state festival by receiving a Division I-rating, along with a recommendation from the judges.

The state contest for Greene County and Paton-Churdan takes place at Nevada High School.
