Four-time state medalist, Zachary Thompson from Perry has committed to wrestle in Division III at Loras College and will wrestle for a familiar name.

Loras College is coached by former Perry Head Coach Trevor Kittleson, who served as the Perry head coach from 2011-16.  Loras is coming off a season in which they qualified four for the national tournament.  Thompson was a four time medalist at the state tournament for Perry and has a number of school records as shared last week on the radio.

The list includes 484 career takedowns (2018), 40 single-season near falls (3 pts), 13 single-season tech falls (2018), 29 career TF (2018), 103 career escapes, 520 single-season match points (2017) and 1,523 career match points.

Thompson was also considering Wartburg and Grand View.
