RSVP 55+ of Greene County, as well as the Greene County High School National Honor Society, recently donated items to area youngsters.

Students donated a “truck-load” of baby diapers and wipes to the Greene County Early Learning Center. The donation was in part of the Lots of Socks fundraiser by RSVP. The students used funds from their bake sale in November to purchase the items for newborns and infants. The Lots of Socks brought in 1,410 items of new socks and underwear to be distributed through New Opportunities.

Most of the socks were given away this past Christmas, while some items went to the Paton-Churdan School District and the Early Learning Center.
