A reminder that several Easter egg hunts are happening today.

The Churdan Library has their Easter egg hunt beginning at 9:30am. It is for newborns through fourth graders and  is sponsored by Churdan area businesses and community members.

The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department, along with the Jefferson Kiwanis Club, are hosting their Easter egg hunt at 10am at the Greene County Community Center. Registrations begin at 9:30, with the hunt to start at 10am. Plus, there will be drawings for prizes following the hunt.

Two other opportunities include the City of Paton’s Easter egg hunt at 10am at the city park, and Grand Junction Fire and Rescue Unit’s Easter egg hunt at 1pm at the city park, with registrations to begin at noon.

The Animal for Protection and Education (APE) agency is having a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt event today at 1pm at Daubendiek Park in Jefferson. Cost is $4 per dog with registrations beginning at 12:30pm. There will be treats for dogs and their owners.
