U.S. Congressman David Young was recently honored with a 2018 Congressional Partnership Award from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO). The award is given for outstanding leadership in federal programs supporting regional economic and community development.
Several organizations nominated Young for the award, including: Region XII Council of Governments (Carroll), the Southwest Iowa Planning Council (Atlantic) and the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (Omaha). The biennial awards program recognizes members of Congress who have supported policies contributing to NADO’s national legislative priorities. Those priorities include funding for federal economic and community development programs, as well as support for local regional development organizations.
