The Raccoon River Conference soccer season begins tonight at home for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys soccer team. ADM welcomes the Carroll Tigers to ADM stadium for the league and season opener for both schools. ADM topped Carroll in their only meeting last season, 1-0, on May 18 in Carroll. ADM-Van Meter returns their top two goal scorers from last season’s 13-6 campaign in seniors Davis Barton and Eli Schwarzkopf. The pair combined to score half of the Tigers 42 goals a season ago and assisted on 12 others. Schwarzkopf told Raccoon Valley Radio they are coming into this matchup with Carroll throwing past results out the window. “(In) previous years, (there) hasn’t been too much competition, but we can never go (into the match) thinking that,” Schwarzkopf said, “We just got to go in like its another game, give it our all, and hopefully we can show out (to our fans) and prove what we’re worth this season.”
