Last Tuesday’s Earlham Early Bird Invitational marked the track coaching debut of West Central Valley’s Eric Addy. The Wildcats football coach the previous three years assumed the role of head boys track coach for the district during this school year. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network sat down with Addy after the conclusion of Tuesday’s nonscored team event in Earlham. He said the longer the season goes, the more fun it will be for him and his athletes. “It’s going to get warmer, and we’re going to get faster.” Addy said, “Times are going to drop when we get more experience. Handing the baton off is a simple thing, but that took away some potential second, and first place finishes for us.”
Weather permitting, the Wildcat boys track team will resume their season tomorrow at a meet hosted by East Union Community Schools. Hear comments from Addy, and multiple members of the West Central Valley boys track team on the Karl Chevrolet of Stuart Guthrie County PM Sports Page, tonight at 6 p.m. on True Country K 107.9.
