Main Street Guthrie Center (MSGC) is gearing up for their fourth annual 50115 Festival, celebrating the community. For the second consecutive year the festival will be downtown on Saturday, June 9th from 3-11pm. The all-ages event will feature several activities during the day, including: inflatables, carnival games, a rock wall, laser tag, and a firetruck display. There will also be food trucks, a cupcake walk, and plenty of other refreshments to keep the party going.
Program Director Dana Buster explains what is scheduled when the sun starts to go down. “At night, we’re going to have a couple of bands playing outside. While the bands are playing we’re going to do some outdoor games. We’re going to have kind of a casual bags tournament. Kind of more of an outdoor, neighborhood party theme this year.”
The festival will also feature the summer’s first Outdoor Movie Night, showing “Ferdinand.” The festival is the unofficial kick-off to the summer, with the Smithsonian Exhibit “Hometown Teams” set to arrive two weeks later.
