One hundred minutes of game time wasn’t enough to decide Thursday’s nonconference match between the No. 3 Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls soccer team and the #5 Norwalk Lady Warriors. The score was tied 1-1 before the match was sent to sudden death penalty kicks. Norwalk edged ADM in penalty kicks made, 5-4. ADM girls soccer coach Kelsey Gaffney tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the regulation goal came off the foot of freshman Ashlyn Watt halfway through the first half from just outside the 18-yard box. Making penalty kicks for ADM was senior Izzy LaFollette, sophomore Delaney Barton, Watt, and junior Emma Davis. The loss evens ADM’s overall record at 1-1. The Tigers girls soccer team resumes their season Tuesday in a nonconference road game at Gilbert.
