ADM Tigers

No high boys golfer had a better 18 hole performance at the Woodward Golf Club Thursday afternoon than Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger senior Micah Moyer. The Tigers boys golf team was one of six squads competing in yesterday’s Woodward-Granger Boys Invite. Moyer topped the 42-person field with a score of one-under 69. He carded par or better in his final nine holes. Moyer’s first-place individual effort correlated into a second-place team finish with 321 shots. Dallas Center-Grimes won the 2018 Woodward-Granger Boys Invite with a score of 319. Rounding out the scoring for ADM is junior Adam O’Connor shooting an 81, senior Grant Curran carding 84, and senior Matthew West completing his round in 87 shots.

The ADM girls golf team hosted their first home meet of the season Thursday, welcoming the Dallas Center-Grimes Fillies and Woodward-Granger Lady Hawks to River Valley Golf Course in Adel for a nine-hole nonconference event. The Tigers placed third overall with 245 shots. Woodward-Granger won the meet with 178 points. Senior Emily Neumann highlighted ADM’s scorecard with 51 strokes.

Both ADM golf teams resume their season Monday. The Tiger girls squad will head to the Warrior Run Golf Course for a Raccoon River Conference triangular against Carlisle and Winterset. The ADM boys golf team heads to the Beaver Creek Golf Course in Grimes for a nonconference meet against the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs.
