With the prolonged winter weather, outdoor activities have been few and far between in Guthrie County. However, Springbrook State Park is eager to usher in warmer temperatures with their Earth Day Celebration. The celebration will take place at the park tomorrow from 10am-4pm.
Activities for the celebration include: launching seed balls with a trebuchet; planting milkweed seeds, a plant that attracts butterflies, to take home; and other children’s activities. The event also serves as an opportunity to spruce up the park, as there will be an opportunity to help pull weeds in the pollinator plot. The park encourages participants to pack a picnic lunch, and the activities will begin at the Campground Gazebo.
