Greene County girls’ golf coach Heath Telleen told Raccoon Valley Radio the 404 the Rams shot on Friday at the River Bend course at Story City was the lowest 18 hole round in the six years playing as Greene County. The result was a second place finish in the Roland-Story quadrangular under sunny, but very windy conditions. R-S had 381 with 404 for the Rams, 439 by Bondurant-Farrar, and 445 from North Polk (Alleman).
Rachael Danielson shot 89 to take medalist honors. The Greene County senior finished three strokes ahead of runner-up medalist Kaitlyn Rahfeldt of R-S at 92. Greene County counted a pair of 104’s by Ellie Madson and Mariah Block, plus a 107 from Kaityn McColley.
Coach Dave Destival’s Greene County boys’ golfers host Carlisle today northwest of Grand Junction at the Lakeside Golf Course.
