The first blemish of the season came Thursday evening for the No. 7 Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys soccer team (5-1 overall). ADM visited the Newton Cardinals for a nonconference match. Tiger head boys soccer coach Bill Shields tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Newton outplayed ADM in a 4-0 setback. Shields shares the Cardinals put a pair of goals into their defensive net in each half, dropping the ADM Tigers overall record to 5-1. ADM returns to action today in the Pella Soccer tournament. The Tigers are slated to play Clear Creek Amana and Pella at the event today.
