Perry School Board 2-12

This Friday, the Perry community is invited to a special fundraiser to support the Dewey Field renovation project.

Hotel Pattee is hosting an event they’re calling “Go Big, Go Blue,” and it will start at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go towards phase one of the construction on the new athletic complex. Fundraising committee member Carol Van Kirk says the idea for the ticketed occasion came from conversations with the hotel’s new owner. “This whole event started because we were approached by Tom Maxwell. He wanted to get involved and help in a community project. And what a better way to help than to help with the Dewey Field renovation project? We just really want to thank the hotel for partnering with us to make our field dreams a possibility.”

Festivities for the evening will include: sampling Hotel Pattee’s new menu, live music, games, a silent auction, and a live auction conducted by Amy Rathje. Fundraising committee member Susan Brelsford believes it will be an exciting night, which will be made all the better knowing everything is benefiting a good cause. “I think it’s also a great community event. For just coming and supporting being a Blue Jay, coming and supporting the fact that we’re trying to raise money. And not only are we doing that, but we’re getting everyone together, we’re having a great time, and we’re also including students in this evening. And I think it’s fun to see the students at Perry High School also involved in this.”

Tickets to “Go Big, Go Blue,” cost $25 and can be purchased at Perry High School, Raccoon Valley Bank, or the Hotel Pattee. For more information, listen to Monday’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program. See below for a full list of items for the live and silent auctions.
