The ACGC track and field teams will hit the ovals today to conclude the West Central Activities Conference meet. The meet started Tuesday but was postponed after five running events due to rain. The Charger boys team in particular is one of the favorites to come away with the team title, and the team’s health is certainly a factor in that consideration.

Boys head coach Tyler Mosbach tells Raccoon Valley Radio he considers his team pretty lucky for not having any serious injuries this season and hopes it continues. “We’ve been pretty lucky with having very few injuries, very few soft tissue injuries. Hopefully that stays the same and the only thing we can do is continue to take care of the athletes’ bodies and allow for rest.”

Tuesday’s action concluded with the girls 4×800 meter relay, so the meet will resume with the boys 4×800. That event is slated to begin at 4pm this afternoon at Ogden High School.
