Showers and thunderstorms across central Iowa Thursday caused officials at Panorama Community Schools to cancel their annual co-ed Panorama Relays. The meet was to feature a dozen boys and girls squads with several West Central Activities Conference Schools scheduled to visit Panora to compete including AC/GC, Earlham, and Van Meter. Panorama will get a chance to compete against the trio of schools today with the restart of the 2018 West Central Activities Conference meet from Ogden High School. The league competition finished the girls 4×800 meter relay race Tuesday before officials postponed the meet. Panorama head track coach Greg Thompson shared with Raccoon Valley Radio via email that the Panthers claimed conference bragging rights in four total events, including both sprint medley relay races, the girls high jump, and the girls 3000-meter run. Official results from those events will be available after the conclusion of the meet. The 2018 West Central Activities Conference Meet will resume with the boys 4×800 meter relay race at 4 p.m. today from Ogden High School.
