City of Perry

Tomorrow is the annual citywide Spring Clean-Up in Perry, but as a reminder, this year it will be a drop off instead of a pick up.

Anyone wanting to get rid of any unwanted items will have to take them to Pattee Park from 8 a.m. – noon. The reason for the switch is there have been too many residents who haven’t paid the required fees in previous years. Now, anyone wanting to take part will pay for the service when they drop their items off. The fees will also be a little different, and are based off how much can fit inside vehicles. For a car load, the cost is $5. It will be $15 for loads fitting in a large SUV, minivan, or pickup truck. The fee is $30 for loads brought in large trucks, passenger vans, flatbed trucks, or trailers.

There will be a $10 charge for appliances. Items that won’t be accepted include: televisions, computer monitors, tires, hazardous materials, batteries, paint cans, concrete, brush, or yard and garden waste. Anyone with questions or who wants to schedule a special pick-up can contact Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481.
