Wet weather this week across the state has forced multiple postponements recently for West Central Valley Wildcat spring sports teams. The Wildcat boys and girls track teams will return to Ogden this afternoon to resume the events of the 2018 West Central Activities Conference track meet. The competition was postponed Tuesday afternoon after the girls 4 x 800-meter relay race and will continue at 4 p.m. with the running of the boys 4×800 meter relay. Heavy rains Tuesday afternoon caused the postponement of Wednesday’s 2018 West Central Activities Conference boys golf tournament. The makeup date for the WCAC boys golf tournament is Tuesday, May 8, at the Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Thursday’s weather forecast impacted both West Central Valley track and soccer programs. The Panorama Relays was washed out yesterday afternoon and won’t be rescheduled. Both soccer programs postponed their nonconference matches as well but are hoping to make them up on Monday evening. The West Central Valley/Nodaway Valley/AC-GC girls soccer team is to host the Atlantic Trojans from West Central Valley High School. The Wildcat boys soccer team will pay a visit to Nodaway Valley High School for a match with the Wolverines. Both varsity matches will kickoff around 7 p.m. Listen to the Raccoon Valley Radio Network all spring for cancellation and delay information of sports and community events.
