Dallas Co Supervisors 3-27

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

Discussion will continue from last week’s meeting regarding changes to the employee handbook. The sticking points on the changes have been caps on vacation time and compensatory time, particularly for the Secondary Roads Department, County Conservation, and the Attorney’s Office. The Board will also consider ratification of a union contract with the roads department. Following that, the Supervisors will present certificates of appreciation to six County employees for their years of service.

Next, they will consider an out of state travel request from the Director of Veterans Affairs. Finally, the Board will discuss a resolution regarding electronic bidding procedures and an official statement of general obligation capital loan notes as they relate to the new law enforcement center. The meeting will conclude with a possible closed session to evaluate the professional competency of an employee. The session will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
