A hot topic at recent Stuart City Council meetings has been proper usage of the City’s athletic complex and recreational fields. At their meeting last month, the Council approved a set of regulations for properly reserving the facilities.

In general, the facilities are available for use from April 1-October 31, weather and field conditions permitting. Any leagues, organizations, or unaffiliated groups and individuals must submit a facility use application for review by the City before being granted access. All reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there is no rental cost.

Additional required documentation includes: game and practice schedules, current roster for coaches and players, liability insurance, a signed user agreement, and participant and coach liability waivers. Contact Economic Development Director Kristen Renslow for more information.
