The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today. The Board will award contracts for three upcoming bridge and culvert replacement projects. At last week’s meeting, the Board opened the bids and Gus Construction out of Adair came in as the low bidder on all three projects. The projects will all be completed by this summer or early fall.
At 10am the Board will conduct a public hearing on a budget amendment for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. The amendment largely covers the purchase of a skid loader for the County Transfer Station. Following the hearing, the Board will seek to formally approve the amendment, as well as adopt it into the fiscal budget.
County Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson will also be present to discuss repairs to the courthouse roof, and Transfer Station Executive Director Jotham Arber will give an update. Other action items include an appropriations resolution for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, and a part-time appointment to the Sheriff’s Office. The meeting begins at 9am in the Supervisors’ Room in the Guthrie County Courthouse.
