Michael M. TaylorA Panora man recently charged with kidnapping has pled not guilty.

According to court documents, 34-year-old Michael Mckenzie Taylor submitted a written plea of not guilty in advance of his arraignment hearing. With the not guilty plea, Taylor’s pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Monday, July 30th at 9am. Should a jury trial be necessary, that has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th at 9:30am.

Taylor is currently facing several charges, including: first degree kidnapping, a Class A Felony; willful injury, causing bodily injury, a Class D Felony; false imprisonment, a serious misdemeanor; first degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor; and two other misdemeanor charges.

The charges stem from an early March incident when Guthrie County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a residence in Lake Panorama for an alleged domestic disturbance. Taylor remains in the Guthrie County Jail on a $1,000,000 cash-only bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
