The Perry Parks and Recreation Department is all set for their 2018 summer swim lessons, and they’ll be here sooner than you may realize.

Aquatics Director Kami Kirchner says the first session of swim lessons will begin June 4th, but she advises families interested in taking part to act now. “They are actually filling up fairly fast. So if you are interested in getting your kiddos signed up, I would suggest doing so sooner rather than later. You have to be between the ages of 4-15, and we do offer levels preschool through level six. So it’s a wide variety and they’re a lot of fun. It’s good to get out and kind of learn how to swim and some water safety, especially going into the summer season with everyone going to the pools, lakes, (and) rivers. It’s very good knowledge to have.”

The deadline for enrollment is either a week before the session, or whenever it fills up. Kirchner says there are three sessions, so there should be plenty of opportunities for parents to get their children signed up. Each session runs for two weeks, and cost is $28 for members and $38 for non members.
