Before the end of the school year, Paton-Churdan students were recognized for their academic achievements.
All 9th through 11th grade students that had a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.5 or higher were invited to the third annual Academic Achievement Breakfast earlier this week. A total of 21 students were recognized. The students enjoyed breakfast sponsored by Churdan Sparky’s, Jefferson Fareway and Jefferson Hy-Vee.
A group of 7th graders recently completed a project for their leadership class. The project was organizing a bake sale, which raised $221 at the 5-12 Pops Music Concert. The funds will be donated to St. Jude’s Hospital to help find a cure for childhood cancer. The goal of the project was creating an activity to help the community with little to no assistance from adults.
