panoraA Panora man was recently charged with burglary for the second time in just over a year.

According to Panora Police Chief Matt Reising, 33-year-old Jesse Gilliam was charged with four counts of 3rd degree burglary, all Class D felonies. The charges stem from a string of car burglaries on May 22nd. He was also charged with a Class D Felony for possession of weapons by a felon and an aggravated misdemeanor for third degree criminal mischief.

Gilliam pled guilty to multiple counts of burglary in May of 2017 after being charged for his involvement in a series of Panora burglaries. He was currently serving probation for those charges. Reising tells Raccoon Valley Radio the burglaries were random and he did not disclose a list of items recovered at this time.

Gilliam waived his preliminary hearing and is currently being held at the Guthrie County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
