ADM Tigers

After two days of road games, the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers baseball team is back in Adel tonight to play another foe from Dallas County. Raccoon River Conference rival Perry makes the drive south on Highway 169 tonight for the first of two games against their longtime adversary. The schools split last year’s season series with the road team winning convincingly in both games.

The ADM Tigers lost their pair of road conference games against Bonne Tuesday (5-3 ) and versus Bondurant-Farrar (1-0) yesterday. The Tigers started the season with three wins last week before going on a six-day layoff. ADM had two games postponed during their time off, including Tuesday’s league matchup at Carroll which the Raccoon Valley Radio Network planned to broadcast. A makeup date for the Carroll game is still to be determined. ADM suffered a 15-3 loss to the Bluejays in Adel on June 14 last year.

The Perry Bluejays recorded their first win of the summer sports season at home Wednesday against the Carroll Tigers, 7-4. Senior Austin Carpenter registered the victory on the mound, throwing 110 pitches in six innings. He allowed four runs, three earned, on seven hits, walking three and striking out 10 Tiger batters. The Bluejays lost to the Boone Toreadors yesterday in Perry, 7-2.

The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will provide live play-by-play coverage of the varsity baseball game on True Country K 107.9, worldwide at raccoonvalleyradio.com and the KKRF mobile app. The Veteran Power Sports and Equipment Pregame Show starts our coverage around 7 p.m., and first pitch takes place around 7:30 p.m.
