The bats for the West Central Valley baseball team have been hot over the past 48 hours, producing video game like results. Coming off a 14-2 victory Wednesday at Audubon, West Central Valley hosted the Woodward Academy Knights in a pair of West Central Activities Conference contests. West Central Valley produced 44 total runs in eight total innings in a doubleheader sweep of the Knights. West Central Valley head baseball coach Justin Keck said the Wildcats won game one, 25-0, and took game two, 19-0. The highlight of the night was a short pitching performance from eighth-grader Brice Taylor, who threw a four-inning no-hitter in the game one victory. Taylor walked one batter and struck out five Knights. The pair of wins improves West Central Valley’s overall record to 5-2. The Wildcats are off the rest of the week and resume West Central Activities Conference play Monday against the Ogden Bulldogs.
