Five games in five days, weather permitting, is what the Greene County softball team faces, including three Heart of Iowa Activities Conference games beginning tonight with Class 3A number 11 Roland-Story (Story City) visiting the Rams at the City diamond on East Lincolnway. Coach Tom Kennedy’s team enters the week 2-1 in the HOIAC and 2-4 overall. The Norsemen feature a pitcher committed to play softball at DePaul University in Chicago, an NCAA DI program. The Rams travel to Perry tomorrow, then host top 10 ranked North Polk (Alleman) Wednesday, are at home Thursday with Glidden-Ralston, before closing the week in Monroe vs. PCM.
