Stuart Good Egg Days begins a week from today and the committee is looking for a little extra help. Volunteers are need to make several of the events and activities a success.

The majority of the help is needed for Saturday’s schedule of events. To assist in the 5k run/walk, volunteers are asked to arrive at Lawbaugh Park by 7:30am. The Lions club also needs assistance with the noon meal. Options for assistance include: shredding pork at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church at 8am, helping with set-up in the park at 11am, helping to serve the meal from noon-1:30pm, and assisting in clean-up efforts at 1:30. The committee is also requesting volunteers to help take money at the gate for the street dance downtown for various shifts from 6:30pm-noon.

The committee is also seeking donations of items for the 50 goodie bags to be distributed to Kiddie Parade participants on Friday. Contact Stuart Chamber Director Brenda Dudley if interested in helping out at this year’s Good Egg Days.
