Greene County Community CenterThere are a few more opportunities for youth to get involved in some programs with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

Art on the Fly will lead two painting classes for kids. The first one is called Fabulous Fireworks. Instructor Jolene Peters will teach first grade and older kids techniques with acrylic paint to create colorful fireworks on a 12-inch-by-12-inch canvas. It will be held on Monday, June 18th from 1 to 2:30pm at the Greene County Community Center. Cost to participate is $20 for materials.

The next class is Wonderful Watercolors. It is for kids in first grade and older. Peters will show kids different watercolor techniques to create their own artwork. That class will take place on Monday, June 25th from 1 to 2:30pm at the community center. Cost to participate is $20.

Call the community center at 386-3412 or stop by to sign up for either or both programs.
