A fundraising campaign has started once again to help one local law enforcement agency.
Casey Jones and Addie Enns are once again having a “Back the Blue” campaign to raise funds for the Jefferson Police Department to help purchase needed equipment. The duo first put on the campaign back in 2016, following the tragic deaths of two Des Moines metro police officers who were killed in the line of duty. The fundraiser back then was to raise money to help the local police department and the Greene County Sheriff’s office purchase replacement firearms to help keep the public safe.
The fundraiser consists of two different t-shirt designs and Jones talks about what those designs look like.
“One is specific to Jefferson Police Department. So it actually has their specific badge on it and has Jefferson PD written on it. We have another design that just has a ‘Back the Blue’ in a different type of font than what we did before. And we’re also having a cap that has the thin blue line flag on it that’s just more basic towards law enforcement in general.”
Jones adds that they are hoping to get as much if not more than they got two years ago when they raised between $3,000 and $4,000. T-shirt forms are available at the law enforcement center in Jefferson or on Country Custom Designs’ website. A copy of the order form can also be found below. Order forms are due by Friday, July 6th.
