Heavy rains in Panora yesterday evening stopped last night’s West Central Activities Conference varsity softball game between the Panorama Panthers and the Des Moines Christian Lions. Panorama head softball coach Ryan Nail shared with Raccoon Valley Radio Network Monday evening that the contest was halted with two outs in the top of the third inning with Des Moines Christian holding a 2-0 lead. A two-run single by DMC’s Maren Judisch is the only scoring from the game to this point. The Lions had no one on and Ashlyn Bakke at the plate with a two ball one strike count. Weather permitting, the teams will resume the contest Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Panora.
