There will be musical entertainment at next week’s Greene County Farmers Market.
The Jefferson RAGBRAI Committee invites everyone to a special RAGBRAI Block Party on Tuesday, June 26th. Churdan native Taylor King is a singer/songwriter/guitarist and will be performing from 4 to 6:30pm, during the farmers market. According to Jefferson RAGBRAI Executive Co-Chair Phil Heisterkamp, he says this is a great way for their committee to reach out to people and get them excited about the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) and their overnight stop here in Jefferson on July 23rd.
Also at Tuesday’s event, there will be opportunities for people to ask questions about the overnight stop, as well as volunteer opportunities, housing RAGBRAI riders, and selling the official “Highway to Bells,” Jefferson’s themed t-shirt that people can purchase for $20. The block party is free and open to the public.
