Grinnell scored six runs and sent 10 batters to the plate Monday night as the Tigers breezed by Perry 10-1 in non-conference baseball action from Grinnell. Perry struck early on an Aaron Lockwood RBI scoring Gavin Boyer. The Tigers responded with two runs in the first before erupting for the big second inning. Lockwood lasted only an inning giving up eight runs. Avery Meister pitched well out of the bullpen allowing just two earned runs over five innings.
Perry finished the night with four hits. Kaleb Olejniczak had a single and stole two bases.
Perry falls to 7-9 and will return to the diamond tonight for a 7:00 make-up game with Bondurant Farrar.
