The first Sunday afternoon in July saw the Panorama football team practice without pads for nearly three hours in Adel. The Panthers were one of four area football teams taking part in seven on seven drills at ADM Stadium over the weekend. Panorama ran offensive and defensive sets against the ADM Tigers, the Knoxville Panthers, and the Colfax Mingo Tigerhawks. Panorama football took part in a similar seven on seven camp the previous weekend in Jefferson. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network spoke with first-year head coach Michael Kauzlarich and seniors Spencer Hunt, Gracen Welberg, and Trey Cobb after the conclusion of Sunday’s event. Kauzlarich shares the immediate benefits his team’s gotten from attending seven on seven camps this summer. “The different defenses you can talk about, getting film on it, and letting your kids understand the reads,” Kauzlarich said, “Practice of going ones against twos is not exactly the same pace, but when you can get ones against ones and get all your coaches (teaching) one side of the ball, I think your kids really benefit from it.”

Kauzlarich and the Panorama football team will host their own seven on seven camp this Sunday in Panora. The Panthers are inviting the Ogden Bulldogs and the South Central Calhoun Titans to take part in the event.
