Today marks the third game for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers softball team (31-7 overall) against a Raccoon River Conference foe. The Carroll Tigers will travel to Dallas County tonight for a Class 4A Region 3 semifinal matchup against ADM. The No. 2 Tigers topped Carroll in both games of their annual league season series. ADM won 12-1 in Carroll on May 23 and completed the season sweep with a 4-0 victory in Adel on June 18. Despite the early season success, ADM head softball coach Rick Dillinger has been impressed with the development of Carroll’s team. “Carroll’s gotten better over the last two years, their coaches well and their kids are going to play hard,” Dillinger said, “Tournament time, you can throw out what we did before, what they did before, anything can happen during the softball season.”

ADM is vying for their first state tournament appearance since 2008. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will provide live play by play coverage of the Class 4A Region 3 semifinal between ADM and Carroll on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app. Pregame coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. and first pitch takes place around 7 p.m. from Adel.
