On Thursday, July 26th, the Heartland Area Education Agency will hold a special election to decide who will be appointed to fill a vacancy for District Two on the AEA Board. The Perry School District is a part of the Second District, and as such they have a vote in the proceedings.

With that in mind, Perry School Board Vice President Linda Andorf was selected to cast a vote on the Board’s behalf. The election will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Heartland AEA’s Adel office. Delegates from each District Two school will either be in Adel to vote, or will submit their vote electronically, as will be the case with Andorf. Representatives can also nominate someone for the position prior to the vote. Along with Perry, the other school districts in District Two include: Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, Woodward-Granger, Dallas Center-Grimes, Waukee, and Van Meter.
