This weekend the City of Panora will celebrate the summer with their annual Panorama Days festival. The fun begins on Friday and goes through Sunday with several events and activities for the whole family. One of the more popular events is the Human Foosball Tournament.
Panorama Days Coordinator Chaille Crandall explains how this unique tradition got started and what the registration funds will benefit this year. “The Panorama junior class a couple years ago built one for their after prom. Then the Panora Chamber bought that from them and we use it for our annual events. This year the Panora Park and Rec is sponsoring that, so all the donations for the team registrations are going to go to the Panora Park and Rec to help with some of the improvements of our park.”
In addition to Panorama Days, the game was most recently played during the IPTV CyHawk party at Boulder Beach last September. Teams can register for the tournament up until Saturday. Cost is $60 per team and more information can be found by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be at Panorama Days. We’ll be broadcasting live from 3-6pm on Friday and 9am-2pm on Saturday, while also playing music and making local announcements.
