Starting tomorrow Midwest Partnership will begin a three-day business appreciation and identification program in the Stuart community. The Business Blitz program has been key for the economic development organization in not only identifying opportunities for growth, but ways each business can mitigate any inherent disadvantages.
Economic Development Coordinator Stacie Euken explains how they might evaluate any pitfalls to business growth through the program.
“Each community has been a little bit different. But we have seen a lot of the same issues in every community that we go into. So it’s kind of been eye-opening in some aspects where it’s like this is a very specific issue for maybe the town of Greenfield for example. But as a whole we’re seeing the same things and it’s helping us with our programming and also the communities with what their chambers are working on.”
Midwest Partnership Executive Director Sarah Gomez, City of Stuart Economic Development Director Kristen Renslow, and Stuart Chamber of Commerce Director Brenda Dudley will join Euken during the program. The Panora area was the first to benefit from the program in July of 2017. Since then, they have conducted blitzes in several communities in Guthrie and Adair counties, including Adair, Casey, Menlo, and Greenfield. To hear more about the program, listen to Euken on today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.
