A deputy investigated a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block on 305th Street. Vehicle was recovered shortly after with subject taken into custody.
A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on 220th Street.
Deputies investigated a suspicious person in the 800 block of Highway 30 in Grand Junction.
A deputy assisted with a work-related accident on 144 Diagonal and M Avenue. Greene County EMS also responded and tended to a worker whose leg was run over by another worker backing a trailer.
A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 900 block of Eagle Street in Scranton.
A deputy assisted with a combine driver losing a tire in the 1900 block on 250th Street, south of Jefferson.
A deputy was advised of a train with smoke coming from a car, heading west by Carroll County. This was passed onto UPRR.
Kethleen Ann Specht (59) of Jefferson, was booked into the Greene County Jail for public intoxication – 3rd or subsequent offense.
A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on 220th Street.
A deputy assisted Perry Police Department with locating a subject in Rippey.
Saturday, August 4th
A deputy assisted with cattle out in the area of 330th Street and Neola Avenue.
A deputy investigated a tractor/trailer unit with an unsafe load of hay on Neola Avenue, south of Jefferson.
A deputy investigated a theft in the 300 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction.
A deputy assisted with cattle out on 190th Street and Emerald Avenue.
A deputy investigated a single car accident on 235th Street, east of Jefferson. Josefina Daugdaug Stevens (70) of Jefferson, was traveling east on 235th Street, approaching the S Curves, when a deer had exited the west ditch. Stevens struck the animal with the front left side of her 2010 Toyota Prius. The vehicle suffered approximately $2,500 in damage and no injuries reported. Vehicle was able to be driven away.
A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on N Avenue.
Sunday, August 5th
A deputy investigated a subject walking on N Avenue, south of Jefferson.
A deputy investigated a littering complaint on 220th Street, east of the overpass near Grand Junction.
A deputy investigated a possible fight in progress in in the 500 block of South Street in Paton.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
