The Adel City Council will convene tomorrow evening in regular session.
First on the agenda are three public hearings. The first involves a loan agreement and issuance of over $16 million in water revenue capital loan notes. Second is a hearing on a rezoning request by Peak Development for Brickyard Summitt. Lastly, they will discuss a storm water rate appeal. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to weigh-in on each of the topics. Following the hearings, the Council will consider resolutions approving each.
In new business, the Council will continue discussion on deduct meters for City sewer customers, and will review the water and sewer committee’s recommendations. Next, they will consider two resolutions relating to the Southbridge Planned Urban Development (PUD) area, including a rezoning request and the preliminary plat. Following that, the Council will set a public hearing on the future land use plan proposed by Confluence, as well as a resolution approving the strategic planning document from the firm.
Other items on the agenda include: discussion and possible action on bids received for a right-of-way purchase; an agreement with McClure Engineering for a street resurfacing project; approval of a “No Parking” sign; board, committee, and commission appointments; a legal services agreement with Ahlers and Cooney for upcoming water projects; and various amendments, easements, budget transfers, change orders, and payments for current City projects.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers of Adel City Hall.
