Guthrie Center SignThe Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday.

The Council set Monday, August 27th at 6:30 pm as the date and time for a public hearing to sell the property at at 905 Grand Street. City Administrator Laura Wolfe tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the property has already been sold, but there was never a formal public hearing on the matter, so this will take care of that requirement.

The Council also approved an accessory building permit and a liquor license for the upcoming Rockin’ Retro Car Show. They also discussed liability insurance in regards to the City’s Utility Board and farm leases, though no formal action was taken on those items. Wolfe adds that the basketball and tennis court resurfacing projects at Mitchell Park are nearly complete.
