The West Central Valley School Board will meet in regular session tonight.
The Board will look to fill another vacancy due to the resignation of Jenyse Belden. Her resignation was approved at last month’s meeting and she joins Christine Stiles as members who have formally resigned in the last three months. Stiles formally resigned in June. Current Stuart City Council member Mick Askren and Ashley Stodden have submitted their requests to be considered for the opening.
The Board will also review the proposed Athletic Trainer Agreement with Peak Performance. Coverage on the agreement would include all nine varsity football games, and other various athletic competitions throughout the year, for a total of $12,060. Other possible action items include: the elementary handbook, equipment breakdown insurance, a District Affiliation Agreement with Drake University, and 2019 Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) legislative priorities. They will also discuss the bleacher project at the middle school and review various board policies.
The meeting begins at 7pm in the Music Room at West Central Valley High School in Stuart.
