The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.

The Council approved a resolution endorsing a Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) grant for the Lenon Mill Dam Waterway project. The City is requesting a total of $75,000 for the project. They also reappointed Carol Evans and Liz Labath to the Panora Public Library Board, with terms ending June 30th 2024, and approved the 2018 fiscal year City Street Financial Report.

The Council then discussed a job description, salary matrix, and postings for an Electric Operations Assistant. City Administrator Lisa Grossman hopes to have the position filled in the next couple months. The City will move forward with the job posting. They also discussed background checks for all City employees during the hiring process and improvements to the community center. No formal action was taken on either item.
