WCV (1)The West Central Valley School Board approved an athletic trainer agreement during Wednesday’s regular meeting. The agreement with Peak Performance covers several varsity athletic competitions and other services for the year for a total cost of $12,185.

The athletic events covered include: all nine varsity football games, twelve basketball games, ten soccer games, two cross country meets, both high school and middle school track meets, two wrestling duals, six volleyball matches , and eleven junior varsity and junior high contests. In addition to the athletic contests, Peak Performance staff members will visit the district once a week for check-ups and rehabilitation. The weekly check-ups also include concussion protocol screening and follow-ups.

Mileage is included in the agreement and the District is responsible for incurring all equipment costs such as tape, padding, and splints. West Central Valley’s first home athletic contest is Tuesday as the volleyball team hosts Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center.
