Funeral services for Dean Archer, 91, of Orient, will be Thursday at 10:30 am at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle.  Burial will be in the Fontanelle Cemetery with full military rites.  A luncheon will be held at the church following the services.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 pm to 8 pm at the church.  Family will be present from 6 pm to 8 pm.  Memorials may be made to the Dean Archer Memorial Fund to be established by the family.  Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at steenfunerals.com.  Survivors include:  Wife, Verelene.  Children, Angela Wortman of Orient, Stanley Archer of Johnston, Randall Archer of Cumming and Gloria Ernst of Greenfield.  7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  2 Step grandchildren and 2 Step great grandchildren.
